The Walk-Off Kings

The Dodgers have mastered the most exciting part of baseball, walk-offs. The boys in blue hit their 12th walk off of the season Thursday night routing the Blue Jays 3-2 to end the series at Dodgers stadium.

“Twelve times and you don’t expect it, you don’t know who it’s going to be, but I think even after that Max Muncy, leading off the inning, they felt it,” said Roberts. You start having that it manifests itself.”



It’s safe to say that the Dodgers have started a walk-off trend but are the only ones keeping up with the trend. The most miraculous part about the walk-offs are- you can never guess which player will be the walk-off hero. They are all trained to end games in a very wild fashion.


Let’s take a ride down memory lane on the Dodgers ninth inning woes turned victories.


8/22: Dodgers trailed 2-0.


Enrique Hernandez hit the ball to centerfield for the Dodgers 12th


walk-off against the Blue Jays. The final score was 3-2.


8/07:  Dodgers trailed 1-0.


Russell Martin singled which allowed two runners on-base to score; beating the St. Louis Cardinals 2-1.


8/4: Dodgers trailed 10-9


Max Muncy hammered a double in the ninth inning leading the Dodgers to an 11-10 victory over the Padres.


7/3: Dodgers trailed 4-3


Dodgers young stud Cody Bellinger blasted his second homer of the game in the 10th inning giving the Dodgers a 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks.


7/2: Dodgers trailed 4-3


The Dodgers does it again. Diamondbacks’ Greg Holland fumbled on the mound by walking four batters in row including Bellinger to bring the man on third base home. The Dodgers ended the night with a 5-4 win.


5/29: Dodgers trailed 8-5


The went bonkers gave New Mets closer the blues. Joc Pederson and Max Muncy hit the ball out of the ballpark. Then, Justin Turner and Bellinger doubled. Corey Seager was intentionally walked and Beaty hit a single. Lastly, the Dodgers celebrated a 9-8 victory in the midst of a wild, wild, west night.


4/15: Dodgers trailed 3-2


Pederson smashed a two-run homer in front of a sold-out crowd at Dodgers Stadium- which led to a 3-2 win over the Cinncinati Reds.


It has certainly been a walk-off season for the Dodgers.
